Side by Side: Lazergrrl

Side by Side is a video series on local multiplayer games. This is the second episode of the fifth series.

Joel Goodwin of Electron Dance and Gregg Burnell of Tap-Repeatedly assemble circuits and plant reactors with one goal in mind: to blow each other to smithereens. We're here to talk about Lazergrrl from Sandwich Generation, a competitive game currently in early access after a successful Kickstarter (which Gregg contributed to). Take a look and try not to waltz through any lasers, it's bad for your health.

  1. Good sport of Gregg to get all kitted out in the Electron Dance merchandise at the end there.

  2. I’m should start selling this gear, I show it off often enough

  3. I love it! This game seems great, you can see so many influences from early and more recent puzzle games, RTS games… plus I could imagine it ported to many platforms, if the developers want.

This is not a game at which I would excel. Indeed, this is a game at which I would fail quite exuberantly. I’d be like the record holder for walking-into-laser deaths.

Is this game out now, Joel, or is it still in development?

  4. Hi Steerpike!

It’s currently out on itch as Early Access – still in development! The page is other stuff of the LazerGrrl hyperlink above.

I probably need a lot of practice before I take Gregg on again…

  5. Matt W! Leah rocks a beanie way better than I do. I’d look a right wally.

No, not that kind of Wally.
