  1. Lovely. I’m confused!

  2. Ah. Ah.

    Ahhhhhhhhh…

Tell the folks over there I said good luck. I’d be there in person, but there’s an ocean in the way.

  3. I had some spam like this the other day, right down to the title.

I, uh, hope that wasn’t you trying to draw me into something experimental. Because it’s been deleted now.

  4. arg time eh

  5. It’s not every day you get your web site hacked by aliens.

  6. Ahhh, oh. I wondered what that email of garbled text was the other day. Turns out it was from aliens, so that’s okay.

Air, Buck Rogers, aliens, London? What on earth is going on here?

  7. Ahahaha! Aha! Ha ha!

  8. …Erm.

    “Virtue”?

I think the Aspiration are here.

  9. Also, if anyone is listening:

That garbled text, when put through a base64 decoder then thrown into paint, gives you this: http://ScrnSht.com/tdecyn

  10. Green Park?

  11. @spann: interesting. The coords indeed look like Green Park. What kind of precision do you get with that number of digits ? Could be worth a gander if any Londonite is interested (not in London myself, though).

Also, the image is weird. Only thing that springs to mind is that the colours look suspiciously like the player-colours in Neptune’s Pride…

At any rate, I’m glad (tentatively) to see The Aspiration again. Loved this write-up, it’s actually what turned me on to this site in the first place.

  12. Okay, here’s a few other things.

The image also looks like an extreme closeup of an LED TV.

Also, where the post above says “broadcast prelim success”? Yesterday it said “broadcast prelim in one”.

Now, that may well mean that something has been added somewhere, or that something else will happen today, I’m not sure.

I live in North Wales, so I’m not gonna be able to get there.

Aaaaalso, the top image in the post: What is that? It looks like the bottom image could be a translation of it, if you look at the alt texts…

Also, from various chunks of text knocking about, I’ve so far got:

“nitially we interpreted the shadow as a chunky asteroid. We filed it, forgot it. But when the James Webb image stream came through, there was no doubt that the inbound object is of artificial origin. We’ve dubbed it “Compass” due to its apparent shape in image 7 of your notes. Speed of approach varies but averages around 900,000 km/h and we ex”

    More to come, I’d imagine.

  13. Here’s a pastebin with all the text so far : http://pastebin.com/qxj8V4wb. Feel free to add anything.

I’ve looked around for “D18”, since it’s suppose to be the name of that mysterious group. No luck so far. At a minimum, it should mean that we’ll have some new stuff by next Sunday…

  14. From what I can ascertain, I don’t think the aliens actually want anyone going to Green Park. I mean, it could cost them a rail fare and valuable time they could spend playing Skyrim. I doubt any extra-terrestrials would wish that on anyone, plus the police will probably move loiterers along. Or have them salt-sprayed or put in a kettle – whatever passes for law and order these days.

And I am actually going to be away on holiday for a few days. I couldn’t be there if I wanted! Man, if only I could’ve been proper hacked like that I Love Bees site with phone calls and all that shit.

  15. The words “what remains to be told?” are hidden in the above post.

  16. What ? Where ?

Also, unless I’m mistaken, this phrase also appeared in the youtube video.

Also also, what do you make of the commentary under the aforementioned video ? (-41297941956- Broadcast Prime: Imminent). It’s an 11-digit number, so it could be a phone number with country code (as in +41 2 97 94 19 56), but that’s an unlisted number in Switzerland. Thoughts ?

  17. “broadcast prelim success

    what remains to be told?

    broadcast prime in ten”

    Highlight them. : )

I don’t think it’s a phone number; more likely an Aspiration broadcast reference number. That’s how the majority of their communications started, anyway.

The “Alone No More” line likely refers to their self-imposed exile…

  18. Yep…just trawled through the Aspiration archives, but I can’t find the exact phrase. Thing is, they started comms with a five-digit number, and it wasn’t always surrounded by dashes (sometimes plus signs or asterisks, without obvious logic). Still, the filiation looks pretty obvious.

  19. So, there’s been another email.

    We’ve got this: http://ScrnSht.com/bnartx

    This: http://a8.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-ash4/384721_119602628155555_101228353326316_106229_2047118113_n.jpg

    And this: http://a8.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc7/393640_123310204451464_101228353326316_118690_1707248043_n.jpg

    Oh, and this.

pect it to arrive sometime during the weekend of Dec 17/18. Compass hasn’t been any attempts to communicate with us so far although we’ve learnt of claims of crude “extra-terrestrial” web site hacks as well as e-mails from an “inbound object”. All of which has to be treated with extreme scepticism.

There is something else we should bring to the group’s attention. There are some new reports of a second object. What we find alarming is that while Compass is courting our attention, “Object Two” is staying out of sight. We’re definitely getting pings that something else is out there too, but so far no one has been able to get a look at it.

  20. “nitially we interpreted the shadow as a chunky asteroid. We filed it, forgot it. Right, I’m starting to think that the start of this is out there somewhere and we’re yet to find it.

Furthermore, these images are bugging me; are they encoded in some way? I’ve tried putting them through a base64 encoder; nothing. They must be/mean something.

  21. bad time for aliens to land, I have to do my christmas shopping, Anyone going?

    Adam

  22. Well damn. I’m really bad with these.

America’s looking pretty alien-free, at least on the east coast.

  23. Re: the images : I’m not at home right now, but maybe they can be combined somehow (XOR, maybe ?)

  24. Also, I got this attached in the mail I got : http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/88/imagevko.png/. Looks different from the others.

  25. Ah, now. Yours is different to mine. I wonder if anyone else has had one of these?

  26. Niice. Where/how did you get that ? That’s one of the default Neptune’s Pride avatars (this one : http://www.rockpapershotgun.com/images/10/mar/Hentzau.jpg). Seem to recall it was the one Veret was using…

  27. I combined the image you got and the image I got.

What I can’t fathom is what the one on Facebook is.
